When can we withdraw PF and how?

You can choose to withdraw your PF fully or partially depending on your requirement however it has some conditions to be fulfilled as mentioned below.

Full PF withdrawal: PF can be fully withdrawn if-

a) When employee retires from the employment.

b) When employee remains unemployed for more than two months. Being unemployed for two months has to be certified by a gazetted officer. However due to link of KYC (Aadhar, PAN & Bank a/c in UAN) PF department can track the unemployment condition online itself and hence sometime online PF withdrawal can be processed without gazetted officer signature sometime. Full PF withdrawal while changing jobs without being employment for two months or more is not possible as PF can track it online through UAN KYC  and any miscommunication to withdraw full PF without being unemployment is illegal.

Partial withdrawal of Provident Fund: Partial PF withdrawal is possible only on certain conditions as described below-
